Most commonly grown maidenhair worldwide. Elegant with long gracefully arched fronds of dark green wedge shaped leaflets. Needs good drainage in fairly bright light.
Syn M.membranifolium. Creeping fern with leathery yellow-green fronds to 0.5m long. Needs a cool humid shady position. Suitable for baskets. Use free draining coarse soil.
Known as the Lady Fern due to is soft lacy fronds, it is very adaptable and when established it does very well, it can be deciduous depending on the climate but will always put on massive growth in spring, best in semi shade, do not hesitate to prune of old fronds
